Introducing the the “Disabilities and Learning Differences” Series co-published with Essential Education! In this series, students write about their experiences with disabilities and learning differences at home, at school, in the workplace, and in the community.
Their stories teach us a great deal about the multiple identities people have, and the challenges and gifts that accompany those identities. A note about language: we sometimes use identity-first descriptions (e.g., disabled person) and other times person-first descriptions (e.g., person with a disability).
